PTSC Meets to Accelerate Early Warning & Early Action Project Implementation
The Project Technical Steering Committee (PTSC) convened on 9th February 2026 at the NDOC Boardroom to review progress and strengthen coordination under the Strengthening Early Warning & Early Action Project.
The meeting brought together key partners, including officials from the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) led by Regional Head M. Amjad Abbashar, a representative from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) Mr. Andrea Bollini, National Treasury representatives led by Ms. Isabel Joy, as well as the NDOC Director and technical team.

Overall project implementation progress
Establishment of a Situation Room at NDOC to enhance real-time monitoring and coordination
Reporting under the Sendai Framework Monitor
Transition from the DesInventar system to the DELTA disaster loss and tracking platform
Strengthening collaboration among implementing partners
Meeting Outcome
Members reached consensus on accelerating project implementation timelines, fast-tracking the migration to the DELTA tracking system, and sustaining strong technical collaboration among partners.
The meeting reaffirmed the collective commitment to enhancing national early warning systems and ensuring timely early action to reduce disaster risk and safeguard communities.
